Hi,

I have looked through various mic pre schematics now. Usually the phase reverse switch sits in front of the input transformer.
I tought of potential switching clicks get amplified. Wouldn't it be a "quieter" solution to put the switch behind the output transformer?

I personally prefer to put the switch on the output (assuming it's balanced out).
Also, you only need to change the polarity as you are setting up, you shouldn't need to do it in the middle of recording.

Neve used to put it on the output transformer.

Cheers
