I have a Yamaha PM-1000 that has been recapped and had the EQs re-set. All in all its a great board. It used to have a switching supply, but I swapped that for a five fish audio Trafo and PSU-448 combo:
44V is driving the yellow cable for the preamps, and the red cable for the master section.
48V is driving the brown cable for the phantom power.
Upon power up there is a small thump, which I think is normal, but one thing changed since I swapped the power supply, but I can't be sure.
Sometimes if I have removed a master channel for cleaning, when I put it back in and power on that channel has a lot more gain than it should. Removing and replacing the channel fixes the issue. I haven't been able to reproduce the issue without removing a Master Module. I did clean the channel connectors.
Is there something I have done wrong or is it simply ~50 year old card connectors.
