Selection of links to various shaft adaptors. I was looking for a way to use 6.35mm knobs with 6.35mm flatted shafts, but haven't found anything yet. This search threw up a few links which may be of interest. Please add other useful links

When you say flatted, do you mean knurled / slotted shaft, or D-shaft?

Smallbear (now owned by Synthcube here in Massachusetts) has a lot of great stuff like that: https://smallbear-electronics.mybig...ter-1-4smooth-set-screw-to-6mm-knurled-split/ (looks to be currently out of stock)

Love My Switches, stompbox parts, has them too: https://lovemyswitches.com/potentiometer-adapter-sleeve-6-0mm-knurled-shaft-to-1-4-shaft-adapter/

For D shaft, could always use one of those and then glue it / shim the open “D” space.

Also an adaptor for using 1/4” (6.35mm) shaft knobs on 1/8” shaft — little pricey: https://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/knob-shaft-adapter-1-4-to-1-8/

Edit: didn’t realize links to these types of items were already posted above, sorry. These are USA based sellers, though, so I guess still relevant.

Edit x2: would also be interested in a cheaper source for 1/4” knob to 1/8” shaft adaptors, as I have a whole lot of nice high end 1/8” shaft pots that I got in a job lot.

Can't speak for @pvision (of course), but I've encountered a lot of people over the years who use "flatted" and "D-shaft" interchangeably. At any rate, I took it that @pvision meant D-shaft.
I've long wished for a satisfactory solution for adapting knurled shafts to take 1/4" knobs, which is what the LMS link purports to be. Thanks for posting it!

However their pic and description indicate that it's just a tube (with planar/cylindrical surface inside and out) so I'm wondering how well it could be expected to 'grip' on knurled shafts. I'd envisaged something that would either key to one or more splines or to the centre slot that knurled shafts have.

Curious if anyone here has direct experience with these and comment on how (and how well) they work?

Could try a 'transmission joint' as used in RC toys. They sell for cheap on A-Xpress. Basically a metal tube with two screws (like knob screws at 90 degree angle to fixate shaft). Just need to find pot shafts -- maybe recycle from broken pots.
