Hello all, I'm repairing a vintage Twin Reverb with Master Volume through a push-pull potentiometer, but, I just can't find replacement for it!
It's a 1M pot with push-pull and has an extra pad in the back, I think is another pot's wiper... need to check.
Anyone please give-me an idea to fix that with an option instead trying to find a direct replacement.
Thanks a lot

Ed.

I change one of this once, I use a push pull 1M pot but I don't remember what I did with it, if you have a schem I'll try to remember, I don't have them now here... My position was better than yours, fender service had changed the pot to one without the switch so no boost at all, I did had the old pot but badly broken trace. The extra pad is a center tap, static but in the middle of the carbon trace.

It's to add some bright when the master level is too low. Then I'll try to think some way of get in there...

Update...

the pot by the schematic is 1M... I opened it up and saw the casrbon track broken, missing a part right in the middle.
Th extra pad on the back is an another out retrieved righ from the same carbon track.

Thanks Joaquins,

Yeah the extra pad is a fixed center tap... I wondering how am I'll solve that :S
Any ideas?

Thanks

Same as happen to my friend's. Build it as I said, with a normal Push-pull pot, you could add a center tap with a conductive paint maybe, CT pots are rally hard to get. If some idea came to mind I'll let you know.

One option would be add a switch to connect the cap when using at low levels and missing highs. Now I don't have the time but in a couple of days I could sim some options to look for the closer one.
