What are we rocking with? Surely not the 350 dollar cables from sweetwater.

Anyone have suggestions for panel jacks and cable type? Don't even know the name for an appropriate connector. I see speedwire and some XLRs, but they're 20awg or smaller, which scares me on the heaters.

Looking like multiple cables there. You want the fattest thing you can find for the heaters, certainly not less than 18awg in any case, and for 10-20 feet you may need 12-14awg, depends on the voltage drop and whether or not it's regulated with sensing connections.


the following is 2A and 3A @ 6.3V, 10 feet of 16awg for each, 0.4V loss in the wire.

AMP/TE Connectivity has a large range of multi-pin CPC (Circular Plastic Connectors). I used them for a custom power supply a number of years ago. The Series 1 are rated for 600V and up to 13 Amps. It's a modular system....panel mount and matching cable bodies, contact pins, strain reliefs, etc. are individual items. Contacts are available with solder lugs (the crimp ones require a special $35283465498546335832.99 tool...lol).
