Power cords on vintage gear.

Hi ya'll.
I have an Electrodyne to work on it...
it still using a 2 prong power connector...
Is it necessary to change it? i'm looking to upgrade for a 3 prong power cord.

if i do it should i still send the earth to a star ground?? as the unit dot seem to have a star ground...but i see 2 star grounds...

Wall-ground goes to CHASSIS, not signal ground.

Signal ground will usually connect to chassis "somewhere", but this is not the important reason to use grounded power.
