Getting ready to rack up a pair of Altec 459a's...looking for a good power supply kit. I've done plenty of lower voltage rack jobs with solid state pres (Altec 9470s, Spectrasonics 101s, etc.) with the Five Fish 2448 and the JLM supplies, but I'm striking out finding an equivalent for tube gear. Schematic shows a 6.3V/1.6A and 275V/40mA requirement, and obviously I'd like to over-spec on amperage to make sure I have more than enough for both models. Also I'd prefer a kit that comes with a transformer. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Also, any issues using something like the this Five Fish DC 1248 board on the 6.3V rail to provide 48V for phantom? Any concern with the amperage being too high for phantom?

Thanks!

International Power linear supplies from Mouser.

Those ran DC filament in the consoles. Should be ok with AC too if attention to wiring method is considered.

I've written elsewhere about the $10 Meanwell switchers for phantom, they work well.

Thanks Doug, but the International ones only go up to 265 and that one only has one output...looking for something that has the specs above.

Look again, they are adjustable.    I've used dozens of them.  And.  10V less is no difference.

Another point: in the consoles the power transformer tap is to set filament voltage....B+ goes up and down too. 275 is an average value. If you go through the 4 tap positions with no load on the supply, B+ swings 50 volts. Be less with a load, but you get the idea.
