power transformer noise

Got 2 old power amps that sound quite good and all signs indicate they are working well except The is massive amounts of power transformer hum.  The hum does not leak into the audio path at all or anything.  I am wondering if it's worth doign anything about it or if this is an indication  of something is awry and I just can't pick it up....

Suggestions?

got it. Took a nut driver  to the nuts holding the lams together. After a tightening up the  transformer noise/hum dropped a ton.
