Anybody know how much make-up gain is necessary to bring the 1KHz response back to unity gain with the most drastic cut scenario? I am asking this question in the context of the passive circuitry without the output buffer/amplifier.

Thanks,

Just curious, why do you want unity gain 'with the most drastic cut scenario'
If you get unity gain with frequency cut, you won't get unity gain in bypass mode for example

there is a constant lose from the filter network , for which the makeup
gain compensates and like most of that style you are always going through the electronics whether bypassed or not

I believe every section can cut up to 15dB so I guess the make up gain should be between 35dB.
Maybe 40dB to be on the save side...So you're going to have a gain knob on the unit as well?

Every section does not cut the whole range 15 db , just their range
there is the insertion loss that because it is passive , does not boost
but cuts less at thoses ranges . [ but not the inductor mid boost ? ]
I still think it is simply between the 15-20 db mark and can be set & left
if it were a true bypass it would be different , but that is what the makeup
gain does , unless you just want extra gain
