Racking a pair of these for a friend and I'm about 85% done but when I go to power them up I burn through the 10R resistors that feed power to the rest of the circuit.Problem solved, need to learn how to read

EDIT For some reason everytime I upload a new copy of the schematic it chops it around like that, my apologies I'm tryin to fix it.

Thanks for the post ,  I have a bunch of those that I would have keep as a mixer if it weren't
ginormous , What was the error ? need to rack a few as well .

Had a dyslexic moment and connected the power rails in reverse..........my eyes saw what it was but my brain fought it every step.

I removed the Pan and Monitor 2 controls to make room for the phantom power switch and the bypass switch for the EQ.  I'm using monitor 1 as the output and the fader send and return as an insert. using 2 of the the 4 output transformers from the console to drive the output. I just finished wiring it up yesterday and took it to the studio to play with but my session went long and I ran out of time.  I'll fire her up tonight and see what she's made of.  The front panel was laser engraved by a trophy place here locally and cost me 30.00.  Not bad. Drilled the front and back myself.

Hey Casey,

I know its been more then a year since you racked these up, but I figured I might ask. Did you use the original power supply from the mixer? I see you are using a different power transformer. I have a pm700 that Im thinking I want to pull 4 channels out of, and salvage the output transformers, and maybe other parts like the vu's, power transformer, power supply, etc. Im curious to know what parts you ended up using from the mixer.

Thanks man,

The only original parts from the mixer are the strips and the output xformers.  the power supply is one of the 3 rail supplies floating around here, cant remember exactly which one.  Part of my payment was a few strips for myself, still need to rack those up! haha

Cool man. Is there any knowledge you would be willing to share on this rack job? Maybe some more pictures if you have them?  :)
