All,
I have two TLM170i mics - really like them. Unfortunately, one of them has a developed an issue where it is extremely noisy and seemingly oscillating. I was willing to pay some of the known mic techs to fix it but they seem disinterested. Neumann themselves apparently won't repair DC-DC issues anymore either (they apparently ran out of replacement boards and won't attempt direct work on the original PCBs).
I am capable of repairing most standard electrical issues on my own (I am an analog IC design engineer) but the only schematic available is nearly unreadable (component part numbers and values are essentially a blur).
Has anybody been able to come up with a better schematic for the TLM170 i that might help? Would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks!
