I have a pair of these Altec-Lansing/Peerless 2282 Adjustable Bridging Transformers and I was wondering what to do with them. The primary is "15K NOM" and the secondary is "15K MIN LOAD". They are 8 pin octal with little pots on the end. I imagine they are line level, but that is not listed and there is no info online. So, my questions are:
1. Do these 2282 modules perhaps the same actual internal transformers as the 15335 15K:15K type? Anyone know what the internal part number is for those?
2. Would these work well as a set of reamping transformers? I was thinking of using them in the NYDave type design with an adjustable impedance pot on the output. His project normally uses a 10K:150 tranny, but I've seen others using a 10K:10k so will this one work?
3. I don't imagine the shielding is too important as I will be placing the whole thing in a guitar pedal case, so will it be OK to uncase these and replace the little 1/8" shaft pots with some 1/4" shaft ones?
Here is a link to some from ebay that closed recently.
