Recommend 2bus EQ?

Hey guys. Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not. I am looking for a decent mastering EQ to make for my 2bus. Something simple with low shelf, high shelf, mid band peak with Q. Something along the vein of API or Sontec would be really cool. Thanks for any recommendations.

are you looking to build or buy? For none surgical precission a pair of pultec style eqp1's and the mid band the eqp5's would rock. For more control a 4 or 5 band eq would be killer, you mentioned sontec so go for it.

Yah im looking for something to build on the cheap. A pair of Nite EQ's would be cool. Pultecs might be doable but it would get expensive. Not lookin for anything surgical, mostly to put a smiley EQ on the 2bus.

if a smiley be what ya want, then you best get a urei graphic eq. they can be very inexpensive and sound great.

There's also Analag's Studer 169 Eq that's an inexpensive build. The ME version has stepped gain as well.
