Hi everyone, hope you're well!

I would like to change two of the ELMA switches in my WSW 436512, at first glance I think these are suitable:

Elma Rotary switch Type 01, 25,53 € - 1pole 12pos shorting 6mm shaft

Although compared to the original, the shaft of the new switch is quite a bit longer. I should assume I have no choice but to hack it? (pic attached)

Any tips from people familiar with the WSW EQ?

Thanks!

Hey! I have been on pretty much the same journey only with a Neumann PEV EQ, which is a similar design. I have done what you proposed - I measured the diameter of the shaft, ordered the appropriate Switch and then cut the shaft to the right length with a Dremel tool. Works just fine, no problems at all. Just a word of advice - I don't know the schematic for the WSW, but in the Neumann I'm pretty sure the switch is a NON-shorting switch - meaning that it breaks the connection while switching. Hope that helps!
