The reason not to do this IMHO is that it is much more expensive and sophisticated than necessary and it leaves me with the impression that it will have limited accuracy. What are the odds of the motor stopping at the exact same spot when recalling a parameter compared to the odds of the microcontroller delivering the exact same voltage to the some FET?Nevertheless, I am looking forward to see your project complete and in action!
