Revox G36 direct out

hello, i recently got a revox g36 in good condition. i would like to tap off the audio before the tape path to use it as line amp/colour/distortion box. i read on this forum that you can insert where the 0.22uF's meet the input 100k pots. can somebody confirm this, or is there some better place to try this? also if i connect tip there, what's the best spot to connect sleeve?
