An old friend of mine I met while working at Peavey last century has a new project to help musicians merchandise their music. I suspect he has a profit motive too, but this is not his primary business. He runs an advertising agency these days (acme branding company, MI).

Before I met him decades ago he had just sold his drum patent to Peavey. Prior to that he operated his own drum company (Volpp Drums).

I have no first hand information about this new gig, I think it goes live in a few weeks. But I will vouch for Steve, he has worked in the industry for decades and is a solid citizen.

I have music I've recorded for friends over the years , its just sat on hard drives .
Im not really sure about using third parties to get it out there for a cut of the cake .
Making the musician their own webpage with paypal to sell tunes to the public seems a sensible way of doing things .
Set up and hosting costs should be small ,
I will check out Reward Music and see how it works ,
Cheers.
