A buddy scored a Rockman X100 off ebay and the matching PSU is quite elusive so I  volunteered to build one, +6.4vdc, -6.0vdc
My Rockman is a model 2 which has a module that physical emulates 8 aa batteries but the x100 has a simple trs 1/8" input. I have to wonder about the shorting potential of inserting a 1/8" phone jack under power :?
Anyway, anyone built/repaired one? Any things worth noting or requiring attention? The +6.4V spec seems a bit odd as it is non standard and 4 aa's gives 6v nominally...shouldn't be hard to trim to 6.4 though. In particular, if someone is in the know, any critical filtering requirements I'd need.
btw, I have or can obtain all the basic psu 101 stuff
Thanks,
Andy
