Safe/simple way to switch on/off bi polar +/-16VDC for preamps?

I'm building an 8 channel API preamp in two sets of 4 cards. The JLM supply I'm using has two pairs of regulators and two pairs of +/-16vdc outputs. Can I wire one of these to a switch for removing power when only using a few channels? Or is this a bad idea because of switch failure on only one side? Is there a safe simple way to do it?

Just use a double pole switch. You are over thinking it.
