Pim[/quote]Hi, I remember having worked on RED mixers that used SAIT modules like the one you have pictured. Unfortunately I have only vague memories of them. SAIT was a belgian company, I think it is part of Televic. These modules were nicely designed in an old fashioned way (think ORTF, RTBF, NOB). They require 24volt single rail, so don't expect much headroom; in fact they were designed to operate at a rather low level (-6dBu IIRC). Mix amp modules were not virtual-earth, they were in fact fixed-gain mic preamps, with ca.50dB gain with lowZ franformer inputs. The output modules provided enough gain to compensate for 12 dB loss in the faders and boosting from -6 to +4. There are a couple of RED mixers still in use in France, they may have the technical manuals with schematics and layout. Try to get in touch with studio Sysmo in Paris, or mail Gerard Buisset (founder of RED) gerard-buisset (at) orange (dot) fr

Thanks.
I will email the studio and gerard.
Hope they've got some more info for me.

Hello,
Studio Sysmo has closed... i got some modules from the old RED console they had....there was one SAIT module inside one of the modules ( the freq.generator ? )
But there was no schematics with it, sorry.
Guy

Hi all,

Moved to The Lab, looks more appropriate there.

Hey Pim, just curious, where did you get those modules ?

At M in H in NL perhaps ?
