I am looking for the schematic of a Mackie 'Big Knob'.
It is doing what it should do, but I would like to modify some things:
- There is a delay when you push the talkback button. The result of this is that often a first word is lost.
- The talkback circuit is rather noisy. We're in 2014 now, this high noise level should not be necessary!
- I would like to modify the phono input in such a way that I could use it as a normal, unbalanced, high level input.
Of course I could use an inverse RIAA correction network, but I am afraid that this will result in a worse signal to noise ratio than could be possible when I would remove the RIAA correction amplifier circuit inside the box.
Any suggestions?
