Sennheiser MKH406T, 435T mods and info?

Other than P48 and XLR connector mods, is there anything else to do to these two mics?

Also does anyone know how the vents on them affect the rejection? If the 406 is cardioid (those are a lot of vents for regular cardioid too), do the additional vents on the 435 make it more directional? Seeing as how they're under $400 used I'm quite interested in them.

The plots on the 435 look more wide cardioid than the 406. You’d expect opposite. Every example I’ve heard has a different low frequency profile, I suspect it worth replacing caps. I understand it’s difficult to find appropriately sized caps for this job. I don’t recall which models have manual tuning of the carrier frequency, worth visiting that for sensitivity.
