Thank you so much for the answer; I appreciate that you took your time to read and answer this with your expertise!When you say it, I can actually see a likely protrusion on the diode as well.I got a link for a replacement for both the switching diode and the LT8330 from the Rupert Neve Design tech support, so I will change the diode first, and see if it fixes it.
