I recently got hold of a siemens 295b but after taking a look inside it seems one of the removable boards has burnt out on one end.

Are these parts easily sourced? Looks like a few of the the resistors have definitely burnt out, i haven't seen these square looking ones before?

I have used those resistors at the end of the 60's. For some reason they were popular at the time. But of course there is no reason why you can't replace them by 'normal' types. (As long as you can read the values!)

In case you didn't know, schematics can be found at kubarth's website.
I racked/recapped 6 of these some time ago.
Really nice eq's!

It's a guess but you might wanna check that tantal cap in the middle of ground zero since they can become a short when they die.
Could explain the burnt-lasagna-look...

Awesome thanks for the response guys, just the info i needed!  Time to get the iron out...
