I have several bipolar psu's laying around with a +48v but need a single supply +24V, 0V, 48v psu for a Helios/Neve type circuit. Can I just tap the +24v and +48v and ignore the -24v?
Is there strain?
I'm sure this has been asked before (probably by me) but Google didn't give me a definitive answer and I want to understand this.
I understand why we want bipolar ((or dual rail) psu's for op amps.
I understand how to create dual rail from single supply. I don't know if using one rail on a bipolar supply would damage anything in the end.
Thank you in advance.
