A local tech is racking some old mixer modules for me at the moment. He's using this off-the-shelf rack case as a starting point:

The electrical work and the metalwork have been no problem so far, but there will be a need to add some controls to the front panel of the rack unit that aren't on the modules themselves, such as phantom power switches and output attenuators.

The question is how to label these controls on the panel. My tech has a labelling machine but thinks this will appear a bit cheap, and is on the hunt for a more professional-looking solution. (It wouldn't bother me for my own use, but I will need to sell a couple of these racks in order to cover my costs.)

Any ideas?

How about something like this?

Well, might not be very economically viable for the whole front panel, but maybe a smaller piece of "control panel"? Or several "patches" for clusters of controls?
