I'm looking to buy a solder pot mainly for soldering multi-tap coils.

Do you have any recommendations? I'm aware of the Hakko FX-300/ 301B pots but I'd rather not spend €400 for a solder pot....

Im not sure I'd want to try and opperate a solder pot in doors or even in a work shed ,
Id probably just use a heavy duty soldering iron or gun with old fashioned leaded solder ,rather than having a pot of molten metal boiling away .

I have a fume extractor so hopefully it should be OK. Unless it produces an excessive amount of fumes...

I have an American Beauty and its great. I use it to tin multipair cables quickly. I paid about $300, but I have seen them on OfferUp for less than $50.

Thanks but it's rather rare to find these in Europe. At least I haven't seen any.
