This next batch will also be glued diaphragms + different colors for the front and rear wires, since a few people (5/300, but it's weird that it even happened) were running into slipping issues.
What are the symptoms of a slipped diaphragm? Pretty sure mine are ok, but curious to know what to look for.

dropped the price of both capsules by $10 and ended free shipping for international customers. At the end of the day, offering it really did nothing but inflate the value on the customs form...
Import taxes in Europe are pretty high, I had to pay 47.36 Euro (about 51.00 USD) to receive a single capsule.

Wow! -- Looks like there maybe some positives that come from the UK leaving the EU! :)
No import duty on goods from the US, if the goods are valued at under £135.
I hadn't realised that USA to EU import duties cost that much though....

Thank you. That is really a lot, I would not have expected that! It's probably just as much in Germany.

Edit: If interested, in Germany applies:

If your shipment is not a gift, the value of the goods is subject to import VAT. There used to be an exemption limit of 22 EUR, but this has been abolished as of July 1, 2021. If the value of the goods exceeds 150 EUR, then you must also pay customs duties for your goods from the USA, which are calculated on the basis of the value of the goods and the shipping costs.

This speaks for the quality of your capsules.

I still don't understand why importing and shipping from China is so cheap compared to the US?
Speaking for Norway which is not EU. Aliexpress, eBay, and similar sites calculate automatically import fees and pay them directly to the Norwegian tax office and the fee isn't that high.

Packages sent from companies like Soliloqueen's or regular people get stopped by the customs, they evaluate the contents not paying too much attention to the reported price of the package, and charge accordingly + the service fee of individual package evaluation which is high due to the high local labour price. Much higher than factual import tax.

I thought about prepaying like this and adding it to the but for most of the countries I looked into it was a $10 difference or less. Still, I'm looking for a way to do this with my back end

In addition, shipping from China is subsidised because it is still considered a developing country.😳

I Belgium, (and i guess in the Netherlands too based on Ruud's comment) postal service charges a €37 fee if not using the IOSS service like ali or ebay. And on top of that the VAT, and if higher than €150 worth of product also some import tax as well.

Thanks for the information, I'll look into registering for IOSS

edit: i have contacted intermediaries to help me establish a presence in the EU and become IOSS compliant

even at the expensive end, an intermediary costs about 40 euro a month, which is the cost of only 1 non-ioss pickup...so it's definitely worth it. still getting quotes. worst case scenario i have to charge a 5euro processing fee and your fees will only go down by 32 instead of 37 🤣. and there may yet be a cheaper quote

Edit: okay, it gets much cheaper. Pretty sure I can offer this with no fee at all.
