Why do you want to replace them? Are they fried?

It is a a Max Limit. You don't have to suck that much. In a happy amplifier the transistors will pass exactly as much current as the speakers demand to produce the loudness which you set.
Say I have a dog-porch rated 80 pounds (three Corgis). For no good reason(?) I decide to replace with a dog-porch rated 180 pounds. If I still have only <=3 Corgis, the 180lb porch is fine. It will loaf far below breakdown. It should cost more, but transistor prices are not entirely logical or linear; popular parts can be much cheaper than less-used parts.
The 180lb dog-porch would also take one Corgi and one Great Pyrenees (today's collection, ~~130lbs). _IF_ the porch foundations can take the load! In an amplifier the supply PT, protection, and other factors mean you won't get "more power" out of bigger transistors.
