Hi Guys,

All of the daughter cards have these 10uf 35VDC power filter caps. I'm wondering if I could go with 22uf just to juice it up a bit?

It's a bigger flywheel. -Sure, why not.

Just be mindful that you're doubling the direct inrush capacitance which has to be charged on power-up.

The switch=on is a little more enervating.

Are you seeking to solve an observed problem, or are you looking at it from a "this must be better" point of view? -If you don't have a problem, my personal suggestion is 'don't try to fix it'.

I have a huge pile/stack of 22uf 35vdc Panasonic caps and just ran outa 10uf's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha

Jeez..

That's actually partial true!

But seriously, the 10uf caps are almost always totally dead ESR wise... This is also part new question (what kills these caps?) Bigger cap = less ESR and maybe harder to kill ESR(?)
