just hit up SSL.. they can expedite a set to you pretty quickly :)

is there a particular part that you need?

kinda crazy having an SSL with no service manuals

Hi, sixtyniner.

Firstly, NO NEED TO SHOUT!!! :green: -Try without the caps lock.

Secondly, which part? -or all of it?

Do you have a 4k or a 6k? Which year? (there were many changes)

Lastly, where are you? -Please update your profile so we can figure out where you can get something from. These are heavy and will cost a lot to ship.

In reply to the news that sixtyniner is in Italy with a center-section full of coca cola...

coca cola... bad news.

The 651 center section: -Remove all the cards. clean the mother board.

Keyboard- no schematic that I've a recollection of having seen... Replace the whole module if you can't clean it. replace switches

Remove and clean the master fader if it needs it but...

BEWARE of disturbing the 651 top panel. It's a mater-work of hand-wiring. If you have to "peel it back" (which is done using the wires at the right as a 'hinge' be VERY careful. I DO NOT do this unless it is absolutely essential. You run the risk of doing a lot more harm than good, since the wire is all solid, usually very old and brittle.

It is usually a miracle if everything works after you attempt this. I strongly urge you to NOT try this yourself, find someone who does this for a living and have them do it for you. Make sure that they can fix what they break, because they will almost certainly break things.

Sorry, but that was an expensive can of coca cola!

That's the reason for alot of studios have one rule:
Drinks in your hand off the desk area or on the floor!
(In short: Spilled all over all the time..dammit! Nightmare!)

scenaria: Ever spilled a hooka all over the board??? I'm sure you laugh at first...but not next day   !

thanks

One of the members here is full time SSL staff. I'm not giving up their name as they maybe don't want lots of hassle, but it's worth bearing in mind.
