looking around for ssl 5000 series console schematics
but I found almost nothing
somebody have "something" about ?

I worked on one of those some months ago. They are highly customized, so it´s very unlikely that there´s such a thing like one schematic which covers everything. The above mentioned desk had a documentation of >400 pages on paper. Yes, that was state of the art in the 80s

Jens : I'd like to know more about this. I'm curious how many 5000's are still in one piece and operational. I know about 125 are built, but I think only a few are still functional.... Is this desk still in use ? Film or broadcast version ?

What kind of info are you looking for ? You have a desk with a problem ? I have most of the documentation of the 5000 broadcast version, but not so much about the  filmversion routingstuff. I think i have documents about the 597 filmpanners though.

It´s the broadcast version. It came from a TV station with piles of spares. Everything (except the frame) is at least once available as sparepart. It has been installed in a friend´s recording studio: http://www.pink-studio.de/

Did you know that the SL520 buscompressors were about 9.000 DM each at the time ? He has 3.

In case the SL581 fails one day : I have figured out how to get the routing working without  it.  Just keep that in mind in case you need some support in any way, one day.
