Depends what you call the audio path. It surely gets to my ears and it's always annoying to hear a fader rattle during a mix.
And i'm not talking about the client asking "what's this noise?".

To me, audio Path is what’s coming off the desk getting recorded, and not mechanical noises related to the room or components within devices.

Ssl has their own how to clean fader videos on their support site. It differs from P&G based on how the fader makeup.
