Stevens and Billington transformers...

Anyone tried these on a mic input? I'm specifically looking at their 829 model, but any general comments on their transformers are welcome.

I got quoted 25GBP (about $45) for the 829, plus shipping (which is always expensive from across the pond - about another $45 for four transformers).

I think they are supposed to have a US dist now...? I know that they were in discussions with someone about a yr ago...
