I spent the afternoon bagging up the left-over stock from a TV repair shop in Brighton that has closed down. Old-fashioned TV repair shops are pretty rare in the UK and now there's one less

The drawer marked "NOS components to build 32 channels of Neve 1073" was missing, but there was a large selection of transistors, a big bag of crystals (no, not that kind), misc connectors & etc. Not many caps. I found a few tired-looking tropical fish - I'll put them in water overnight to see if they perk up

There's a medium-sized bag of metal-cased UA741CLs - I think they are the type you find on early UREI boards plugged into circular mounts. There are  some OC44s as well

I suspect a lot are specific to certain period of TV sets. I stuck to the new, bagged components but have a few bags of misc / used parts

If anyone spots anything useful please let me know

Hi.

I would be interested in the BC184C´s and BC441.
Do you know roughly how many of each there is?

Had a couple of emails enquiring about transistors. It will take some time to establish what I have, and what I intend to do with it, so I'll get back to you when I have that info

BC184C are valuable, those were the transistors used in the Neve 1073. They were fitted in the BA283 cards.
Don't worry to choose those for HFE higher then 600 as some people will tell you, and Neve never done that ever also.
The BC184C are not produced anymore, and although there's a big list of as good or better alternatives people will still like to see the BC184C name there.

For the AC127 and AC128 , those are Germaniun transistors, use them for Fuzz Guitar Pedals, or for Germanium mic Pres
