My oscilliscope's crt stopped displaying anything  :'(

I've never worked on these before. Where do I start?

Got the service manual but I think it is too large to upload here.

Hey Sam,

The EEVblog forums are where all the test gear geeks hang out, not to diminish the talents here but there are folks there servicing this stuff every day.

First stop is to check the PSU voltages.  Be aware that some Tek scopes will be damaged just by the act of powering up without the cover on (overheating).  Also be aware that there are very high voltages in the CRT section.
