I've got a TLM 103 in need of a new capsule. After reading up on it, it looks like a k87 sub can be used, is this correct? Does anyone have a good recommendation for a replacement capsule or any advice?

Thanks!

It belongs to the studio I work in. I was told there was a fingerprint or something similar on it and when I opened it to have a look the gold plating was half gone. Looks like someone tried to clean it and rubbed it all off.

The TLM103 uses a 'flat' circuit, so I suppose a K87 capsule will result in a very bright microphone.
IMHO a K47 capsule would be more appropriate. (It will be a 'different' microphone after the capsule swap anyway...)
