This is driving me nuts, I cannot find any information whatsoever on how to wire a toroid. All I know so far is there are 6 wires that exit the toroid,

2 x orange
1 x yellow
1 x red
1 x white
1 x green

Any links or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Steve.

What toroid? A mains transformer? What windings does it have?

Best regards,

Thanks guys, It's actually a purple wire not green.

The toroid is Jaycar Part No. MT2086 - 15+15V

Secondary Series=0.66amps
Secondary Parrallel=1.33amps

This is for the GSSL Compressor.

From what I've just found out in the last couple of hours is:

2 x Orange = Input 240V

Yellow+Red = Output 15V 0.67amps

White+Purple = Output 15V 0.67amps.

Thanks again.

Mark Burnley has a great diagram about this
But note - use this for reference only....

Isn;t there a sticker on the side that tells you which lead is which?

Note, that the colour coding tells you NOTHING! Transformer wire colours are NOT standardized - if you don't have specs, you'll need to experiment to find windings and phases on the wires..
