Hi,

I am swapping some of my Lundahl 1538xl input transformers with some EA2622 transformers in two of my eight channel api 312 mic preamp box.  The lundahls have a case ground but no electrostatic shield pin.  The ea2622's have case ground and electrostatic shield pins.  I know the lundahls have an internal electrostatic shield without a pin connection.  Should I connect the ea2622's electrostatic shield pin to the case ground point or is there another location where this pin should be connected?

Thanks for any help here.

Nate

Hello Nate,
the Lundahl 1538 has the shield on Pin 8:

Thanks for the correction.  What I meant was what to do with the case ground on the EA2622?

The Lundahl doesn't have a case ground pin.  Not sure if I should leave it disconnected on the API 312 circuit.
