Hello.

I'm on a stereo EZ760 and I got an assorted box transistors and several of them have silver paint and labeled C547B. I've looked this up and most of the searches come up with BC547B. One Polish web store has them as C547B but no data sheet. In either case, these aren't usable for this project since I am only lacking the 2N3819s as far as transistors/FETs are concerned. I just wanted to know know what these are and possibly if there are any sweet projects they work in that would make these worth holding on to.

Thanks!

Paul

John,

Thanks for responding. I did see that, I was just wondering if what I had were BC547B's with just the "B" missing from the label. And if anybody knew of neat projects these would be used in to make these worth holding on to.

Thanks!

Paul

That's BC547B, an ordinary NPN signal transistor.

100pcs  for 2€

2SC547 is a VHF Toshiba transistor in TO39 package.

Google begs to differ......

It seems the photos in Aliexpress look exactly what I have. I'll just toss them in one of the boxes of parts I have and see if I can find any uses for them.

I've ordered the rest of the parts for the EZ760 boards. Now I just have to figure out what I would like to do for meters and case.

Thanks, everybody!

Don't be fooled with Google results.
You can get the same results for all small transistors as BC548, 557,558 etc.
Try to find a single datasheet for 2SC547B in TO-92 package.

Here is  datasheet for 2SC547

Let me recommend this: http://www.banggood.com/DIY-Meter-Tester-Kit-For-Capacitance-ESR-Inductance-Resistor-NPN-PNP-p-929603.html

..best almost-no-money I've spent in a long time for resolving this sort of mysteries..

That is perfect! I don't have a current way to check caps besides reading the label. I didn't see in the description if it would measure transistors.

Thanks!
