I don't think it does. It's an extended range meter driver, that gives a more or less logarithmic response., and it's not balanced.
Clever it is. It uses the "reflex" principle of using one triode for amplifying separately AC and DC. The triode amplifies the AC signal that is rectified (single-wave only, though) and buffers the DC rectified signal. Standard "wireless" practice.
