Hi Folks,

As I mentioned in another thread, I've got a few vintage cassette players that appear to be fine electrically, but not working due to mechanical problems. As there's no demand for such things, I was wondering if there were any useful parts in them? The D-900 has nice VU meters - any idea if it would it be possible to remove these and then put them in something else like a mic pre? I imagine the PSUs would be useful too.

Cheers,

Chris

Depends what you want to do with them.

Here is what I did with knobs, switches and VUs came out of Sony TCU-5.
