Recently came into possession of a discarded, dirty, sad looking, homebrew radio station stereo mixer built on a 19" rack panel. A closer look revealed no less than eight (8!) stereo ladder attenuators, 1984 vintage Tech Lab 600/600, 1.5dB per step with taper to off. Amazingly all 8 have detented cue switching. Not sure why the two mic channels needed cueing, for talkback maybe? The knobs need some love and care, but the ladder attenuators feel fine, probably need contacts cleaned and lubed, though. Makes me wish I had a Gates Stereo Yard that needed refurbishing. Here's a pic of two of them, one closed, one open. Yes, there is a second wirewound array behind the visible one.
