Hi,

I'm new on the Forum,
well,I've done some Dual unit tube mic preamp ( Gyraf Base G9,so great one ,many thank for Gyraf Audio!!).
I've done some modification on the PSU unit ,and I'm using the 78T12 to supply my heaters on 12au7,12at7.And I've never had any probs!!!.
I've measure current on heaters supply for 4 12au7 or 12at7 (0.6A) on my Dual Unit.
I mouted the 78T12 on Heatsink,It can supply 3A/12V Max.

For this time ,I'm going to Buid a QUAD Unit....So let's see if is going to
to work well!!!.

A bientot.

Hi B2,

Thanks for the nice words,
and welcome to "The Lab"..!

Yes, a 78T12 on Heatsink should easily drive eight 150mA heaters - providing that your transformer is up to the job..
