Hey everyone. I have a ward beck 1202a console that I have been refurbishing. It runs +8. I am about to install direct outs on all channels.

I want to be able to use the mixbus at the same time and therefore I figured I would need to put some sort of line buffer on the direct outs. The console is balanced so it wouldn’t need to balance the signal as well. I was wondering if anyone could help me design a small line buffer using something like a 5532. I will post schematics below. I also am not sure of where I would take ground from. The console has +\- 25v rails.

Thank you very much in advance. I hope you’re all doing well! Cheers :)

I figure I will take the signal at the fader return. Which is pin L and 10 on the edge connector.

And here is the schematic of the channel strip and where I will take it from. The fader pads the channel down 15db. Therefore I guess I will need to make that up with the opamp.
