I measured the mic-pre wiring in my 70's Midas board and it measured about .1mm....but the gauge is not that precise. Does anyone know what the best gauge wire is to use? I need to splice in a pig-tail to existing wire, as there is not enough slack to use just the old wire. The wire is very stiff, while the wire with silicone coating, which appears to be widely available is very flexible......it's sold on amazon.....Also, any recommendations on how to splice the two wires together? Should they be soldered together, or another method? Some of the wires that may be spliced are coming from a transformer, so there is not the option of putting in a new wire.......Broken Wire.jpg
