Hi Group,

I was looking for Speakon - usually found at www.speakon.de - but this just redirects to Neutrik now. What is worse - it does not seem that Neutrik carries the Speakon 19" boxes anymore..!

Does anyone have a second-source for these boxes? It would be severly annoying to have to change to a new type of box...

:?

Hi Jakob.

Roland Benkler is still in business
But... the online shop was on www.robeshop.de and www.speakon.de ...
so as you can see... they don't have the web adress anymore.
...because speakon is a product of neutrik

Do you use these cases also now?
If you want to order.. just send a mail to Roland:
benkler - [email protected]

Do you know the sentence "spezialanfertigungen sind unsere spezialität" ? means something like... "we're specialized in custom made products".
Maybe interesting for you?

Frank.

Hi Jakob
I called them. They said that Speakon is a trademark of Neutrik and that´s why they had to give up this site. The new one will be online latest next week:
www.robeshop.de or
www.willwas.de
The store exists still, don´t panic.
cheers
Jens :sam: :sam: :sam:

Hi Frank, Jens

:thumb: Vielen herzlichen Dank..!

Thanks a lot, guys! I really panicked for a while over this.

Man, I'm happy we have this forum...

Those links are still dead.
I wrote the mailadress a while ago with no luck.
Anyone had any luck getting thru or know when itll be back up ?

Gustav

Hi Frank,

I actually edited that out, in order not to expose his emailadress to mail-adress harvesting spambots. I've done so again

Remove the space to use the adress correctly..

The two suggested webpages are still not up? Is there a problem maybe? I hope not!
Maybe you are not one of Reichelts Prio 1 customers. :green:
My orders needs 2 days at maximum.
2 days is a bit too long, while the catalog says 24h delivery.
The shipping time is between 1 day and 2 weeks!

I know some guys who were fed up with reichelt and don't order anything from them anymore.

First they wait if there are missing parts, if they don't arrive in a certain time they shipp the order and send the missing parts if they arrive... I told them that they should send the parts directly, it does not matter if all parts are available... but this worked only one time :?

They also send me defective parts.

And iam pretty sure most of the parts aren't real brand-parts. Some diy guys made some power amps with the tranistors of reichelt and at the half power the transistor burned out... so someone cracked the TO3 housing open and... what was in there? not ONE transistor, 2 small transistors! *no joke*
Have you ever ordered soldering tips from them? They work max 1 week and iam not the only one with this problem... tips from conrad or from a local shop... no problem.

If you order 2x6 or 4x3 switches you get sometimes alpha's or lorlins.. just what they got cheap... and they feel totally different when you switch them.

Have you tried to use the wires from reichelt? The isolation melts at 70°.

I love reichelt :green:

What about Schuricht? Is there terrifying stories about them also?

They seem to have a very good supply of just about anything.. Including stuff like decently-priced 6386 tubes

Are they alright?

Jakob E.

I order most of the parts from Distrelec, that is the same thing in Switzerland... Price are a little bit high on some stuff, but you get the order the next working day in your mailbox... toooo faaaaast !!!!!!!

Schuricht is very good! And if you got a broken knob for example, just call them and they will send you a new one without asing for the old one.. and that.. fast!

I could also tell you terrifying stories about benkler... should I? :green:

I just surfed around to search some other cases like I did 3 years ago when I found benkler... I found the following:

looks like the benkler standard series:
http://www.galore-flightcase.de/katalog/schubladen/leerg.htm

looks like the benkler industrie series:
http://www.tsx-cases.de/shop/product_info.php/products_id/69

and the cases with the handholds looks like the monacor cases...

It would be interesting to know where benkler buys the cases
Maybe adam hall or case concept/penn elcom?
But I think it could also be a local manufacturer!? Who can lurk the UPS man and look at the adress when he came to benkler? :green:

Frank.

Frank, you can spend your holiday in front of the Benkler stock. One day before ask how much cases they have on stock and then order one piece more. :green:
I think that horror storries about fakes are sponsored by the competitors.
You are right about the Lorin switches. You can also get one times M10/0,75 threads, one time 3/8" threads. Thats why I'm allway ordering the switches somethere else. I would prefer Alpha switches, but haven't found a supplier yet.

Schuricht is OK. Nice tube range. But I ordered a few times and had problems with the webpage order, so I had to call them and they couldn't find my order.

Rapidelectronics seems to have them.. in bluuuee
There is a minimum price order... but I think you'll need some of these
And the best is: They're around 1€ ... at 25peaces cheaper... cool!
