What is this microphone?

Anyone know anything about this microphone? Found it hiding in a box. Looks to be electret. I don’t recognize the badge, and a google of C-100 in any form brings up a Sony mic.

It's predecessor to Cad e100s, Astatic c100.

I'm not sure what capsule is in the C-100. They're too rare for me to have ever seen one up close.

On the to pic of the EM21, the E100Sx sounds MUCH like the original e100 and not at all like the E100S. I would be very curious to see what capsule is in it

Very similar, and different from FR of the 1002 and 100S! In fact, I feel there are too many peculiarities in common for them to be different designs. Maybe just different styles of measurement. It looks like a Transound capsule. Did CAD get TS to copy the Primo?

Thanks for all the info gents! I had no idea that I was looking at a gem. Too bad it’s not mine. Belongs to a studio I work out of. Maybe I’ll try to make them a deal on it.

I’ll try to get a better look at the capsule. Definitely going to have to give it a try. I have not used the Equitek/CAD versions, but I have always heard good things.

Well they are highly regarded as voiceover mics but I have never liked them for music.

I’ll be back in the studio on Sunday. I’ll take a screwdriver with me. Get some juicy guts pictures.

I did give it a quick try. The best word I can think of is Polite. Very clean and clear without being hyped. I can see how it would work very well for voice over.
