Reminds me of a High End Audio salesman that said that the power amplifier he was trying to sell was "completely passive" and didn't have any "active parts in it, since they all alter the sound". And "passive components do not alter the voltage and current in any way"

Especially in combination with a £3K power cord (unplugged of course)..
