Hi group,

Looks like I'll have some extra time in the SF/Oakland area this weekend - anything in particular that our type of people (you know what I mean..) should see?

Oe avoid :) ?

Not quite on topic, but....

Guitar Solo is a good shop for classical and acoustic guitars

If you like jazz Yoshis is the place for live music, check the schedulee to see who's playing.

Also don't neglect the usual tourist stuff if you have time. SF is an iconic city for a reason. Cable cars, golden gate bridge, etc. Also best stadium in baseball imo.

Other interesting spots in the bay area

Alcatraz. Want to see how the other half lived when you did super bad things?

An hour south in San Jose is the Winchester house and museum.
What a crazy story. Truth is stranger than fiction.

haight and ashbury. Once the epicenter of the hippy movement, it has changed a lot over the years but it’s still a famous landmark, intersection.

My recomendations:

Go to the Amoeba Record Store,
it's the best Vinyl and records store I've been to, you will have a fun time over there

Go up to the Twin Peaks,
you will have an amazing view over San Francisco and the Bay area.
Very easy to reach by car, there's road until the top
